Angiolina Dall'Acqua
Fourth-Year BME Student
Hi there, and welcome to my E-Portfolio!
I am Angiolina Dall'Acqua, a rising fourth-year student at the University of Florida. I am an undergraduate researcher in the Biomedical Engineering Department, working with Dr. Nichols in the Musculoskeletal Biomechanics Laboratory. There, I study the mechanics of human movement through computational modeling and experimental analysis.
Research Interests
My primary research interest is in biomechanics, a broad field that encompasses many interdisciplinary areas. More specifically, I am interested in:
-
Applying artificial intelligence to optimize code and research processes
-
Exploring the long-term impacts of these innovations on healthcare
-
Advancing diagnostic tools for physicians and improving quality of life for individuals affected by musculoskeletal disorders
-
Investigating the relationship between biomechanics and cellular activity within the bone matrix
